Problem:

How to remove tramp iron from wood chips before they enter the digester?

Solution:

An Eriez Permanent Magnetic Head Pulley was installed on a conveyor belt carrying wood chips to the storage silo for the digestor. This pulley effectively removed ferrous tramp.
Featured Product: - Magnetic T Traps separated baling wire

Problem:

Metal contamination was a maintenance and production nightmare for a large U.S. paper manufacturer's new multi-million dollar facility. Stray baling wire was chopped into many small pieces by the enormous blender that repulped dry paper pulp. That chopped wire plugged downstream filters, pipes and reducers and damaged paper refiners and pumps.

Solution:

Eriez supplied eleven 12-inch (305 mm) diameter Super Strength Rare Earth Model T Traps, along with one extra magnet element. The operators now remove a dirty element and replace it with the spare clean one. Once that line is running again, they move to the next contaminated magnet and repeat the process down the line.
